"I’m going. If anyone asks, tell them I lost my Death Note in the human realm."

Raght, saying goodbye to Elir Mepherik

Raght (pronounced "rot") is a Shinigami featured in Death Note: Our Truths.

Personality

Raght often portrays himself as cool and collected, calm and in control, intelligent and aloof. He is very sharp, but does not press his intellect upon others, such as Elir Mepherik. He can become arrogant and seems to be deceptive with the way he manipulates Ryuk, but in general, he does not reveal what his motives or desires are. His reason for going to the human realm is entirely unknown at this point.

History

Raght was one of the many Shinigami living in the Shinigami Realm at the start of Death Note: Our Truths. He mistakenly told Ryuk that the white-covered Death Note he had found actually belonged to the deceased Shinigami Baloucher. Shortly after doing that, he followed Ryuk through the portal to Earth, stating to his gambling partner Elir Mepherik that he had an extra Death Note that he was planning on giving to someone in the human realm.

Trivia

  • Raght is an unnamed canon Shinigami in the Death Note series, though his name is fanon.
  • In Egyptian lore, Ra is the god of the sun–the god of light.
